Key Measurements, and Compliance
- We are looking for a Collections Specialist who is responsible for contacting customers with outstanding debts, negotiating payment plans, and ensuring the timely collection of payments owed to our company, while adhering to legal guidelines.
- Identify overdue accounts and contacting customers - Review customer accounts to identify outstanding debts and prioritize collection efforts based on delinquency level. Reach out to customers via phone, email, or mail to inform them about past due balances and initiate collection attempts.
- Negotiating payment plans (when necessary) - Work with customers to establish feasible repayment plans based on their financial situation.
- Skip tracing - Utilize credit bureau information and other databases to locate customers with updated contact details.
- Maintaining records and Reporting - Accurately document all collection attempts, payment arrangements, and customer interactions within the company system. Provide regular updates to management regarding collection progress and outstanding debt levels.
- Compliance with regulation - Ensure adherence to all federal and state laws related to debt collection practices.
Necessary Experience and Skill Set
