Position Overview:

The Fire Cleaning Crew Chief will oversee and lead a crew of restoration professionals in cleaning and restoring properties affected by fire damage. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical expertise, and a customer-focused attitude to ensure that every project is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of restoration technicians during fire damage cleanup and restoration projects on both contents and structures.
• Assess fire damage, develop and implement cleaning and restoration plans, and perform work according to SERVPRO standards.
• Communicate with clients to explain restoration processes, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Complete mitigation through cleaning, demolition, and odor control activities.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation of project details, including work performed, materials used, and hours worked.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in fire damage restoration or a related field, with a strong understanding of fire cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and lift heavy objects as needed.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• IICRC certification in Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration (FSRT) or the willingness to obtain certification is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a restoration environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
