We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing and Collections Specialist to join our team at SERVPRO in Binghamton, NY.
Collections: Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor all accounts receivable and identify overdue accounts.
- Investigate historical data for debts and bills.
- Contact customers to obtain payments.
- Process payments and refunds.
- Posting customer payments by recording checks, and credit card transactions
- Updating receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
- Maintaining records of invoices, debits, and credits
- Resolving collections by examining customer payment plans and payment history
- Keeping organized and detailed documentation of all correspondence with customers
- Handling customer disputes in regard to payments or invoicing
- Handling all Liens and documentation of such records
- Prepare and submit reports on collection activities and progress.
- Prepare and finalize invoices to customers and insurance carriers
- Review and audit field documentation
- Communicate and monitor status of projects wit project mangers
- Create and submit final billing documentation for invoicing
- To provide financial and administrative support by invoicing jobs in all departments
- Maintain and update records of invoices and receipts for each job file.
- Manage the entire process of initial job invoicing all the way through accounts receivables
Position Requirements
- QuickBooks experience a plus
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including listening and questioning skills
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- Capability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented office environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to learn new software
- Associate Degree or higher
- 5 Years Bookkeeping Experience
- Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 5 pm, additional time as needed.
