Contents Crew Chief

Summary:

The Contents Crew Chief assigns, coordinates, controls, and performs work activities on contents restoration projects to successfully fulfill service needs and facilitate a positive customer experience. As the front-line representative of the SERVPRO® brand, the Contents Crew Chief demonstrates to customers and clients the company’s Here to Help®

commitment.

The contents restoration process involves assessing and inventorying damaged items, packing them out for transport, and then performing cleaning, decontamination, and repairs at a restoration facility. Specialized techniques are used to remove odors, and rigorous quality control ensures items meet standards. Once restored, items are packed back and returned to the property, with ongoing communication and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction. The goal is to bring damaged items back to their pre-loss condition after disasters like fires, floods, or other hazards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate a positive customer experience and ensure customer satisfaction of services.
• Communicate clear expectations to Contents Technicians and supervise their activities.
• Coordinate and perform contents processes as scheduled and ensure quality control.
• Identify safety hazards, communicate, and establish control measures to ensure the safety of occupants and workers.
• Follow and oversee safe work practices and adherence to safety and risk management guidelines.
• Document a detailed and accurate job file to support the services provided.
• Manage and control labor and consumable usage on assigned projects. Manage assets by protecting and using equipment and materials properly.
• Coach and train Contents technicians.
• Communicate with Contents manager and office staff on project progress and issues.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle maintenance and equipment maintenance, as assigned.
• Oversee facility and grounds maintenance, as assigned.
• Continue development of restoration expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.
• Other tasks/duties as required by employer.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• IICRC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cleaning and restoration.
• Experience in a supervisor role required
• Effective written and oral communication skills

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently
• Occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Walking and standing for long periods of time
• Valid Drivers License and comfortable driving
• Occasional Sitting
• Climbing ladders
• Working at ceiling heights
• Working in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics)
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
• Working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.
