Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing software development and maintenance of applications for SERVPRO corporate and franchise initiatives. Development responsibilities include coding solutions that follow development standards and integrate with other systems, building software in a consistent manner to meet business requirements, and unit testing software components to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.

This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and improvements to existing applications and troubleshoot and debug applications in a timely manner to resolve technical issues.

You Will

• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure applications using React and GatsbyJS.
• Code solutions that are clean, maintainable, and follow SERVPRO development standards.
• Participate in scoping sessions to understand requirements and provide coding estimates.
• Perform unit testing of each software component to ensure business requirements are fulfilled.
• Resolve defects by priority and severity that are discovered during the testing phase.
• Ensure that all technical application artifacts are archived in a code repository such as Gitlab.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure continual growth.
• Complete assignments in a timely and accurate manner and escalate any risks to Management.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Provide consistent and concise status reports as requested by Management.
• Provide other duties and functions as requested by Management.
  
  

You Have

• Minimum of 3 years successful experience in software development in an Agile environment using React, GatsbyJS, REST APIs, CSS pre-processors (such as SASS or LESS), HTML, and JavaScript.
• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
• Must possess good written skills, positive attitude and initiative, high degree of analytical and interpersonal skills, and a teamwork approach. Additional experience should include how to apply development efforts to achieve business objectives and revenue goals.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, IT, or Software Engineering is preferred but not required.
