Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for traveling to various locations to perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to different job sites as assigned to perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to water damage mitigation, fire damage restoration, mold remediation, and general maintenance.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to determine the scope of work required.
• Utilize specialized equipment and tools to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
• Follow established protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate with clients to explain services and address any concerns or questions.
• Document work performed, including taking photos, writing reports, and updating job logs.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure the timely completion of projects.
• Maintain and care for company equipment and vehicles.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, and logic controllers.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in facilities maintenance processes.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.

• Strong understanding of logic controllers and their applications in maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
