What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Quality Ambassador 18+ (Prep 5am Start, Sesame Place Chula Vista) position at Sesame Place San Diego?
What you get to do:
As a Park Quality Ambassador you will be responsible for cleaning restrooms, pathways, stadiums, and pools/slides. You’ll ensure an exemplary level of guest service, including engaging with guests and maintaining a clean and safe environment through the park. Working in a team environment, you will model a positive attitude, a high level of energy and an unyielding commitment to quality. You will:
- Maintain cleanliness of restroom/park areas
- Operate and maintain blow packs, pressure washers, vacuums, etc.
- Stock restroom supplies
- Hose and sweep patios at all culinary facilities
- Wipe tables and chairs at all culinary facilities
- Maintain/organize storage closet
- Notify leadership of any supplies needed
- Special projects throughout the park (detailing umbrellas, cabanas, tables, and chairs)
- Report any concerns or repair needs in restroom facilities
- Sweep debris from pathways while scanning landscape for trash
- Removes cobwebs, blows leaves, remove puddles on the pathways, and, at time, pressure washes
- Hoses, scrubs stains, scrapes gum, and pulls weed on pathways
- Empties trash cans
- Interact with guests and answer guest questions
- Complete opening and closing procedures
- Plunges clogged toilets
- Direct guests to attractions
- Assist with park emergencies, including inclement weather
- Assists other locations throughout the park as needed
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work with a start time as early as 5:00am.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.
- Operate pressure washers, trash compactors and drive vehicles.
- To drive vehicles, you must have a valid California driver’s license and be able to meet requirements to drive SeaWorld Vehicles.
What else is important:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
- Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
- Hours varies depending on the season and the business need.
- Able to work early mornings, late evenings and holidays.
Compensation:
- 16.50 USD per Hour
