Engineering at Sesame
Our system is React-based with Javascript / TypeScript on the frontend and Java / TypeScript on the backend with an ongoing migration to TypeScript across the board.
We maintain and extend our own component library and design system.

How you will fit into the team
In this role, you will be part of a small dedicated DS / UI team of frontend developers, designing, implementing, and maintaining our component library and design system setup. You will work closely with designers and with other developers in the cross-functional product pods to aid in the ongoing evolution of design patterns in our frontend applications, serving both patients and doctors across the nation.
While your main expertise likely lies in effective styling and semantic markup, you should also be comfortable with a11y specs so that you can work with our digital accessibility partner to continuously improve our platforms.
You will be working both on new components and iteratively improving our existing ones, and are encouraged to dive in wherever you can to help us build the best healthcare platform possible.
Knowledge of, or experience with, design system maintenance and scaling is a big plus.

120,000 - $160,000 a year
In addition to cash compensation, Sesame employees are eligible for new hire stock option grants. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications and other job related reasons.
