What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supported Employment Specialist position at Sesdac?
Sesdac of Vermillion, SD is seeking to hire a full-time Supported Employment Specialist. The Supported Employment Specialist is responsible for developing and promoting community employment opportunities for people with disabilities including job development, placement plans, maintaining employer contact, and maintaining documentation. This person will also provide guidance and training for staff members providing job coaching services. This is a community facing position responsible for building contacts with area businesses and community leaders to help create employment opportunities and organizational ties. We are searching for someone with an outgoing demeanor, excellent soft skills, and a passion for service. Contacts in the Vermillion business community are a plus!
Supported Employment Specialists pay range will start at $19.00/hr. We also offer generous benefits including 2 health plan options, dental, 6% 401(k) matching, sick and vacation leave, AFLAC insurance, and a $25,000 life insurance policy. Health, Dental, and Life are FREE for the employee.
