Controls Maintenance Technician is responsible for the ongoing care and maintenance of control systems used in the process, efficiently troubleshooting and detecting gaps in the program. Ensure effectiveness and efficiency for processes and equipment in a fast-paced assembly manufacturing environment. Maintaining a reliable process for continuous improvement
Requirements
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Control System Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair control systems, PLCs, and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) to guarantee consistent and reliable operation.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Identify and address equipment, control systems and PLC issues by diagnosing faults, conducting tests, and carrying out necessary repairs and replacements.
- Software Updates: Implement software updates and patches for PLCs and associated control systems to enhance their reliability and security.
- Calibration: Calibrate sensors, transmitters, and other instrumentation to maintain the accuracy of control systems and PLCs.
- Component Replacement: Replace faulty components such as sensors, actuators, relays, and other electrical and electronic parts as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and parts inventory for reference and compliance purposes.
- Safety compliance: Ensure that control systems, equipment, and processes adhere to safety standards and regulations, and take corrective actions where necessary.
- System Testing: Regularly test and verify the functionality of equipment and control systems after maintenance activities to guarantee proper operation.
- Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty to respond to critical equipment breakdowns and provide immediate technical support.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams and other relevant departments to implement upgrades, modifications, and improvements to control systems and equipment.
- Know and comply with the policies of the Integrated Management System, the guidelines of the Employee Handbook and Plant Safety Rules.
- Work following the processes defined in the organization.
- Ensure order and cleanliness in their area of responsibility.
- Make responsible use of resources and raw materials.
- Properly segregate waste using the containers provided for this purpose.
- Ensure their own safety, complying at all times with the safety measures and OSHA regulations applicable in each case.
- Use appropriately and responsibly the personal protective equipment required for their position.
- Comply with the measures implemented in the information security risk control and prevention systems.
- Report any conduct that they consider may pose a risk to information security and, in particular, to the security of personal data.
- Completion of internal written assessment necessary before employment.
