APPLICATION ENGINEER
Discovery, Integration Mapping, and Migration Support

Sesheng Company is seeking multiple skilled Application Engineers to support our corporate client's application discovery, integration mapping, and migration efforts. This contract role offers the opportunity to play a crucial part in the modernization and streamlining of critical applications. You will work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless transitions and contribute to the successful execution of complex projects.
Responsibilities:
- Application Discovery and Analysis: Conduct thorough discovery and analysis of homegrown applications to document functionality and integrations.
- Create comprehensive documentation detailing application features and dependencies.
- Architecture Diagramming: Develop detailed architecture diagrams to map application components and dependencies using tools like Visio.
- Integration Point Identification: Identify and meticulously document integration points with other systems and services.
- Application Modification: Modify applications as necessary to support migration initiatives.
- Read, analyze, and modify existing code and configurations.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless transitions.
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding progress and challenges.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of application architecture and integration principles.
- Proficiency in using diagramming tools such as Visio.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and modify code/configurations in existing applications.
- Exceptional problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in the industry.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with application migrations or modernization projects.
