Job Description
Serving as a senior engineering professional, you will lead and coordinate the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of complex engineering projects within your area of expertise.
You will work collaboratively with our Principal and clients to solve their problems in all interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Managing and performing site investigations to evaluate surface and subsurface conditions and provide recommendations.
- Planning and implementing engineering programs, including defining project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements per customer needs.
- Developing and maintaining schedules and budgets for assigned engineering projects.
- Providing regular reports on project milestones and adjusting schedules accordingly.
- Controlling expenditures within project budget limitations.
- Identifying project staffing requirements and coordinating with supporting organization managers.
- Coordinating preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, bid packages, and proposals.
- Assigning and overseeing project personnel to specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, product design, specifications, and testing.
- Reviewing product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Interfacing with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met.
- Providing status and progress reports to customers, project teams, and management.
- Planning research schedules according to company or contracting organization timetables, establishing daily or weekly routines necessary to meet project deadlines.
- Providing expertise in the field of research.
- Training research assistants and graduate students.
- Performing and reporting interim analysis of accumulated data for safety purposes.
- Developing research plans, designing experiments, outlining procedures, and identifying training for subordinate personnel.
- Establishing major design parameters for projects in conjunction with project design teams and clients.
- Reinforcing business relationships with existing clients and developing new relationships with future clients.
- Preparing proposal estimates of time and expenses required to complete projects.
- Involved in sales and marketing of company services, securing new business.
- Travelling up to 10% of the time may be out of state.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job has supervisory responsibilities.Qualifications:
- Masters degree preferred in related field, minimum 10-12 years of experience, 8 years of project management related experience. Previous construction experience is preferred.
- Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license preferred.
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
- FE/EIT Certification preferred.
- Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) preferred.
- Valid Driver's License and possess reliable transportation to access job sites.
- Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of solid geometry, and trigonometry.
- Able to apply concepts like fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Proficient or familiar with computer design software (Quake, WEAP, L-Pile, Finite Element Analysis, etc.).
- AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, NitroPro, GSLOPE, KeyWall, Rocscience, MS Word, Excel, Adobe.
