Consumer Loan Processor

SESLOC is seeking an experienced Loan Processor to join our team who will help us exceed our members' expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Consumer Loan process for all Consumer Loan types (Auto, Personal, and Credit Cards) as well as all loan processing for HELOC loans. This person will review all documentation to ensure it is accurate and compliant. They will also need to communicate well with both the members they assist and the internal partners they work with.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Process Consumer Loan applications received via Branches, Phone, and Online channels from opening to closing.
- Onboard all application types
- Suggest and build loan applications that benefit members
- Review initial loan approval and work with internal partners and members to gather appropriate documentation
- Collect all required documentation for all assigned loan applications
- Verify all documentation is compliant and accurate
- Support loan officers in underwriting efforts
- Educate and encourage peers to grow in lending-based sales
- Move loan applications along promptly
- Drive all member communications quickly and effectively
- Communicate with other third parties including title companies, insurance companies, etc.
- Fund and disburse all loan proceeds
Education/Experience: A High School Diploma or GED and one to three years loan processing experience or similar related experience including time spent in preparatory positions. Position requires strong attention to detail, organization, communication, computer skills, and a passion for sales. Ability to exercise sound judgment in all situations and foster sound relationships with others. Basic underwriting knowledge preferred and in-depth knowledge of consumer lending and Real Estate industries. Must be registered or qualify to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System & Register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) and maintain annual registration requirements.
