Job Description
Title: Expeditor (Expo)
Reports To:
Kitchen Manager, GM, AGM, Manager
Job Summary:
The Expeditor is an experienced restaurant professional whose primary function is to ensure a smooth flow between the front of the house and the back of the house using excellent communication skills. They set the pace and flow of the kitchen to ensure that all dishes are properly prepared and efficiently dispersed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of MTJ and its standards, procedures, products, and services
Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the service staff
Monitoring the food portions on completed dishes according to restaurant standards.
Ensuring that all orders are completed in time and with the correct priority.
Inspecting the cleanliness, presentation, and temperature of completed dishes.
Performing the finishing touches to completed dishes, such as adding garnishes and removing smudges.
Keeping the cooking, storage, and prep areas clean, neat, and well-stocked.
Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety standards.
Assisting all staff as needed.

Ability to take instruction, especially under pressure

Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
Clean and hygienic appearance
Ability to stand, walk, bend etc for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Read and understand English language
