What are the responsibilities and job description for the Connections Supervisor, Experiential position at Set Creative?
As a Connections Supervisor, Experiential, you will work closely with the Connections Director, Experiential to help develop and implement overall experiential marketing strategies that lead to engaging activation programs while overseeing the execution process. These activations may include, but are not limited to, mobile marketing tours, event/partner sponsorships and convention events. Will also be responsible for mentoring and managing junior team members to further develop their experiential management and client relation skills. Managing your workflow, providing reporting and metrics, and working closely with channel partners will be imperative to your success. Travel is required, which may include weekends depending upon the event you are supporting, at approximately 20% of the year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contributes to developing, updating, and implementing team’s experiential marketing deliverables as well as act as a liaison to the client and the field as required.
- Assist in developing strategic plan for events and sponsorships to contribute to go-to-market plan for the brand.
- Oversee internal workflow, as well as onsite execution of experiential marketing plan to ensure flawless execution (travel may be required, including weekends)
- Management of activations may include, but not limited to, review of proposal evaluations, partner and property negotiations, creative reviews, media integration and program auditing
- Oversee activation budgets as well as review billing ensuring timely client invoicing.
- Work with WPP partner agencies to ensure the client’s needs and objectives are being met, especially as it pertains to activation
- Review training and/or onsite informational materials, as needed for activation programs
- Establish relationships with partners, teams, leagues, promoters as needed.
- Develop recommendations and clear objectives for requested event and sponsorship programs including establishing clear and actionable KPIs.
- Stay atop key industry trends, bringing new activation ideas to the table on a regular basis
- Development and implementation of event summaries and monthly/annual reports
REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS degree required; Marketing, Business, or Communications degree preferred
- 5-8 years relevant agency field/sponsorship/event marketing experience
COMPETENCIES:
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and brand standards with the ability to support consistency across events and campaigns
- Proven experience in brand activations, event planning and/or project coordination
- Solid communication, organizational and time-management skills. Bonus if there is budget tracking experience.
- Attention to detail, willingness to ask questions, ability to follow up and knowledge of overall account logistics
- Manages up and knows when to escalate client and/or internal concerns
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients
- Passion to understand client’s business and provide excellent client service
