What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at SET Inc.?
Specialty Laborer - Primary job site locations are in and around Los Alamos NM but work may be needed elsewhere such as our Rio Rancho location so commuting will be required.
Job Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited To :
- Building Demolition waste cleanup and removal
- Clean-up, packaging, removal, and decontamination of various materials
- Maintain strict safety standards and communication daily with site Safety Representatives
- Perform specialized tasks that may require on and off-the-job training and assist other company, client, or vendor support staff
- Effectively use heavy and small equipment and tools, depending on the job site / tasks
- Spotting heavy equipment
- Wear personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing protection, fall protection, respirators, etc. as needed
- Site, shop, and vehicle maintenance and housekeeping
- Perform various physical duties as assigned while working either in a crew or individual setting
This position is full-time, Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour workdays) but may occasionally require overtime and / or weekend work.
Full-time benefits are included after a brief probation period.
Training will be required at the start of and throughout employment, we are looking for an applicant who is willing to learn the additional skill sets needed to move up within the company.
This position requires many physical demands such as lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, working outside in inclement weather conditions, and walking long distances on uneven terrain.
Proper PPE will be provided to ensure all safety requirements are met.
Primary job site locations are in and around Los Alamos NM
Qualifications :
Previous labor / demolition / remediation experience (Minimum 1 year).
Valid Driver's License, satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR required), and reliable transportation.
Due to the nature and location of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Ability to pass a federal background check.
Applicants must pass a pre-job drug screen.
