We are seeking a motivated, experienced Veterinarian (DVM) and/or Medical Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a passion for providing exceptional care, and the ability to develop positive relationships with both clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality general medical and surgical care for pets, including wellness exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests, such as blood work, radiographs, and ultrasounds.
- Perform surgeries, including routine spays, neuters, and soft tissue surgeries, with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Provide emergency and critical care for hospitalized patients as needed.
- Educate pet owners on disease prevention, nutrition, and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians, receptionists, and other staff members to provide excellent patient care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, demonstrating empathy and clear communication.
- Stay current on veterinary medical advancements and participate in continuing education.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- A current license to practice veterinary medicine in New York State.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred; new graduates will be considered.
- Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
