Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and motivated Lot Porter, Shop Cleaner, and Detailer to join our team at our Ford dealership. You will play a vital role in maintaining the appearance and organization of the dealership’s vehicle inventory. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and maintaining vehicles on the lot to ensure a clean and inviting environment for both customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport vehicles within the dealership lot, ensuring they are parked in designated spaces.
- Keep the lot clean and organized by arranging vehicles in an efficient and accessible manner.
- Assist with the delivery and pickup of vehicles for customers and other departments.
- Wash and detail vehicles as needed, ensuring that they are clean and presentable.
- Perform basic maintenance checks on vehicles, such as checking tire pressure and fluid levels.
- Assist with inventory management, ensuring accurate counts and proper placement of vehicles.
- Monitor the condition of vehicles on the lot, reporting any damages or issues to management.
- Help with customer vehicle test drives, ensuring proper vehicle readiness.
- Assist service and sales departments with moving vehicles to different locations as needed.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all dealership safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to lift and move vehicles if necessary.
- Prior experience in a dealership or automotive setting is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
