What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher/Director position at SETON HILL CHILD SERVICES?
Job Summary
You must have at least a Bachelors Degree In Early Childhood Education or related field, plus a minimum of 1 year of child care experience. Director experience is preferred.
- Planning and implementing learning experiences that advance the intellectual and physical development of children.
- Improving the readiness of children for school by developing their literacy and phonemic, print, and numeracy awareness, their understanding and use of language, their understanding and use of increasingly complex and varied vocabulary, their appreciation of books, and their problem solving abilities.
- Supporting the social and emotional development of children
- Encouraging the involvement of the families of the children and supporting the relationships between children and their families
- Interacts with children during free play, gross motor, and other activities as children’s needs warrant.
- Monitors the daily performance of all individuals within the facility
- Interviews, trains, and evaluates staff on-site, Initiate disciplinary action when necessary.
- Completes all necessary documentation for all facets of center life, including; monthly reports, staff schedules, children’s files, and other administrative paperwork
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.36 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
