Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services, and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services, and more.
Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you will assist in delivering personalized, professional, and quality patient care in the performance of all Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) examinations and adherence to MRI safety rules.
You will explain MRI procedures to patients and / or family members in a thorough and professional manner.
Perform MRI procedures, ensuring appropriate imaging parameters are utilized, and providing physicians with high-quality diagnostic procedures.
Adhere to MRI safety rules, ensuring the safety of patients, visitors, and staff members.
Provide minimal nursing care to patients, ensuring they are comfortable in the department. Seek additional nursing or physician assistance when necessary.
Transport patients to and from Imaging Services, ensuring they are relocated without injury or incident.
Maintain MRI procedure rooms and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Maintain effective communication with medical staff, administrative staff, nursing staff, and other team members.
Perform quality control on equipment and notify management immediately of any potential malfunctions or hazards.
Ensure patient care delivery meets high standards of quality, professionalism, and personalization.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, local, state, and federal accrediting and licensing bodies' requirements.
Assist in the Quality Assurance / Improvement Program of Imaging Services.
Enter and retrieve patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System in a proficient manner.
Maintain MRI procedure rooms and work areas in a clean and organized manner.
Qualifications
Job Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or through American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
