RN Residency New Graduate Nurse Ortho Trauma

Job Summary

A 12-hour night shift RN residency opportunity is available in the Ortho Trauma Unit at Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care and assist with patient care under the direction of a registered nurse preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Assist with patient care including observation and documentation of patient healthcare needs.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Actively engage and participate in transition to practice programs to develop clinical thinking and enhanced clinical judgment.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or professional licensure required.
