SUPERINTENDENT
The Superintendent will report to the Project Manager and supervise, coordinate and manage all field activities on projects from award through final acceptance by the owner so that Setterlin Building Company may successfully complete its contractual obligations and produce a quality structure at the lowest possible cost, on schedule, with a reasonable profit and the highest regard towards safety.
Setterlin Superintendents are at the construction site from the groundbreaking to final payment. Setterlin Superintendents direct and coordinate the activities of the various subcontractors and Setterlin associates. Their responsibilities include making sure that the work progresses according to schedule, that material and equipment are delivered to the site on time, and that the activities of the various workers do not interfere with one another.
Experience requirements include 10 years of construction management and/or craft supervision. Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize associate and subcontractor performance. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, standards, etc. and their impact of project activities is essential; excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Some travel will be required – Almost all Setterlin projects are located within central and southern Ohio.
