Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Screed Operator to join Settje Son's growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years' experience in operating an screed on a asphalt paving machine and limited experience operating equipment related to asphalt paving work. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate screed on heavy machinery such as Cat and Blaw Nox pavers.
- Operate paving related equipment (skid steer.)
- Shoveling and raking asphalt when needed to facilitate paving projects.
- Perform asphalt paving screed operating tasks to ensure a smooth and durable product.
- Assist in project layout daily.
- Safely operate on the screed of a paving machine and while operating other paving equipment.
- Conduct daily inspections of paving equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in operating screed, particularly the paving machine.
- Willing to learn new tasks including a conversation of training and driving CDL vehicles.
- Experience in asphalt paving, and other related tasks is highly desirable.
- Settje Sons Paving is willing to train the right candidates with 4 years of paving experience.
- Strong attention and commitment to safety standards.
