TITLE: Adjunct Instructor: Electrical
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time Faculty (Contract based)
REPORTS TO: Executive Director, SEU Trades
Position Summary:
Southeastern University is launching SEU Trades, a brand new division committed to developing
a pipeline of talent to sustain the trades professions with skilled leaders for the future of the trades
industries. Join this new division as we meet needs in Polk County, FL and across the nation
building a Christian solution to our nation’s needs for trades professionals!
The SEU School of Trades invites applications from energetic and creative professionals for an
open position in applied Electrical. SEU Trades Adjunct Instructors assist in Southeastern
University's academic mission by teaching trades courses that offer virtual online simulations with
hands-on components local to students wherever they learn (which can be on the Lakeland main
campus, at SEU extension sites, or online). Adjunct assignments are offered on an irregular
basis, and are subject to change in response to the University's academic needs. Adjunct
instructors engage with students online and in synchronous meetings, ensuring timely feedback of
assessments as well as ongoing holistic discipleship and development of professional skills for
the workplace.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Minimum 4,000 hours of hands on experience in the electrical trade. Electrical Technician /
Apprenticeship Certification is desired.
● Evidence of professionalism and customer service commitment.
● Christian commitment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
● Evidence of experience mentoring apprentices.
● Associate’s degree preferred.
