POSITION TITLE: TEACHING ASSISTANT (TA) FOR PSYCHOLOGY
PART-TIME REPORTS TO: PROFESSOR
COLLEGE: SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES
Position Summary:
The teaching assistant would be responsible for assisting the professor, and/or the
Administrative Assistant with administrative tasks as well as acting as a liaison for the
college. The student must be willing to assist the department with meetings and special
events in addition to providing TA support.
TAs Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Demonstrate organizational and interpersonal skills, i.e., general human relations and
sensitivity to others.
● Make copies and scans for your professor.
● Assist your professor to set up classes and help distribute exams/papers/art supplies, etc.
● Help with scheduling, event planning, or organization.
● Ability to work collaboratively.
● Update items in MyFire.
● Receive/send/answer assignment or course-related emails from students within your
professor’s classes.
● Run scantrons.
● Clerical support.
● Provide support for special projects or events.
● Monitor, organize, and keep an inventory of supplies.
● Any other duties assigned by your supervisor or your professor.
