Summary : The Superintendent works as part of a Construction Services team, managing the field operations for single or multiple projects. The Superintendent acts in a supervisory role, overseeing the work of contractors and vendors on projects that are managed by Sevan Multi-Site Solutions. The ideal candidate will live in the Chicagoland area. Required travel 50-80% to locations throughout the US.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Supervises and is responsible for all on jobsite activities including safety, schedule, cost and quality. Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
- Promotes Sevan safety culture : maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment. Ensures Sevan's safety requirements are met, encouraging proactive safety practices, and rectifying job site hazards immediately.
- Understands Critical Path Management (CPM) scheduling and has the ability to create and maintain a CPM schedule.
- Ensures trade partner staffing levels are consistent to maintain project schedule.
- Completes quality inspections of trade partners and field personnel. Maintains an active deficiency report on open quality items.
- Plans, organizes, and hosts weekly foremen meetings.
- Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
- Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
- Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project.
- Coordinates with local municipalities as required for any / all inspections.
- Collaborates with Project Manager on change orders and incorporates work into project schedule.
- Follows Sevan's standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
- Prepares and provides daily and weekly status reports for projects utilizing Procore software.
- Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or quality.
- Along with the Sevan Project Manager, represents the company in project meetings.
- Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay & Benefits :
The anticipated compensation range for the position is $90,000 to $120,000 is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
Work Conditions & Travel :
This role is a field-based position which may require travel independently or with partners for extended periods in various geographies and demographic areas (urban, rural, etc.). Multi-shift work may often be required to accomplish work in active retail locations to meet aggressive schedules. Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to work with fluid schedules and working conditions. Able to work remotely in a home office setting and manage time effectively with multiple projects and deadlines. Travel required (50-80%). Must maintain a professional appearance and interact with on-site customers in a courteous and professional manner. Able to work on your feet indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Able to extend, lift and climb a ladder for roof access when a building ladder is not provided. Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and / or move up to 15 pounds.
