About the Role
This part-time position involves serving as an active member of our client's treatment team, participating in team meetings and treatment planning sessions. You'll assist clients in developing recovery plans, including psychiatric advance directives and crisis plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing psycho-education on illness management and peer support
- Implementing and coordinating recovery plans for individual clients
- Serving as a role model and teaching effective coping techniques and self-help strategies
- Providing case management, resourcing, and service collaboration
- Maintaining accurate records and advocating for clients
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of state-certified peer support specialist training
- Over six months of experience with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of SCS programs and services, policy, and procedure
