What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chaplain (PRN) - Central State Hospital position at Seven Counties?
Job Description:
- Provides on-going religious and spiritual assessment, interventions and evaluation as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
- Conducts individual, group and family pastoral care and counseling.
- Provides and documents consultation to treatment teams on issues of religious concern and spiritual care for patients.
- Provides pastoral care for employees as requested.
- Plans and conducts hospital worship, holiday, special occasion, funeral and memorial services and liturgies.
- Provides consultation on ethics and patient rights to patients, treatment teams and hospital management.
- Liaison with community religious groups, agencies and institutions to coordinate religious care of patients, religious volunteer services , and special programming or service needs for patients.
- Graduate of an accredited theological or divinity school with a master's or doctorate degree in divinity, theology or related field.
- Ordination and/or denominational or ecclesiastical endorsement.
- At least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, one of which is accomplished in a psychiatric setting.
