We are currently seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join their team. This individual will play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of packaging systems at customer locations. The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background, capable of troubleshooting and ensuring optimal system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup: Install and set up new packaging systems at customer sites, ensuring proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on packaging equipment, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues with packaging systems on-site, providing efficient and effective solutions.
- Customer Support: Offer technical support and training to customers, addressing their questions and providing guidance on equipment operation and maintenance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including installation reports, maintenance logs, and customer feedback.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the customer service and technical support teams to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.
- Upgrades and Replacements: Assist in system upgrades, equipment replacements, and other necessary improvements to enhance system functionality.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 years of experience in field service, preferably within the packaging, automation, or similar industries.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and other control systems.
Skills:
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable with a variety of hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Travel: Must be willing to travel, sometimes on short notice, to customer locations.
Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record and valid driver’s license are required.
