Responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the culinary department. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prepares food items as directed by the Chef. Assists the Chef and kitchen staff in everyday food preparation.
- Maintains a clean and safe work station according to the standards set by the Resort, including walk in coolers and storage areas.
- Responsible for ensuring good safety and health practices throughout the culinary department, including emergency and security procedures.
- Remains current on all Resort policies and procedures.
- Maintains a proper and professional relation with all Resort staff.
- Provides constructive input to foster process improvement within the department.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred
- 1 to 3 years working in a restaurant operation as a cook or cooks helper.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
- Able to handle multiple priorities and tasks at once.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and customer relations skills.
- Must be able to obtain a Class I Gaming License.
- Current Food Handler or ServSafe Certificate required.
