Key Responsibilities
Prepare the Cath Lab :
Ensure all equipment, supplies, and medications are ready and in place before procedures.
Assist During Procedures :
Work alongside the Cardiologist to perform interventions like angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions.
Monitor Patient Vitals :
Track and report vital signs during procedures, taking action as needed to ensure patient safety.
Operate Imaging Equipment :
Use and troubleshoot advanced systems such as angiography machines and intravascular ultrasound devices.
Maintain Equipment :
Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and functioning of all lab equipment.
Administer Medications :
Assist in delivering medications and contrast agents as directed by the Cardiologist.
Provide Patient Care :
Ensure patients’ comfort and safety throughout procedures, offering support and reassurance.
Document Procedures :
Maintain detailed and accurate records of procedures, patient data, and outcomes.
Adhere to Safety Protocols :
Follow all safety and infection control regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
Stay Updated :
Keep your knowledge current with advancements in catheterisation procedures and imaging technology.
