Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team in Rochester, New York. As a critical member of our Cath Lab team, you will work closely with Cardiologists and healthcare professionals to perform a variety of cardiovascular interventions and diagnostic procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Pre-Procedural Preparation: Ensure that all equipment, supplies, and medications are ready and properly set up prior to procedures.
- Procedure Assistance: Work alongside the Cardiologist to perform a variety of cardiovascular interventions such as angioplasties, stent placements, and pacemaker insertions.
- Patient Monitoring: Track and report patient vitals during procedures, taking appropriate action when necessary to ensure patient safety.
Manage and troubleshoot complex imaging systems such as angiography, echocardiogram machines, and intravascular ultrasound. - Maintenance and Calibration: Ensure that all imaging and lab equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and functioning to prevent delays or malfunctions.
- Medication Administration: Assist in administering prescribed medications and contrast agents as directed by the Cardiologist.
- Patient Support: Ensure patients are comfortable, well-informed, and cared for throughout the procedure, providing support and reassurance as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all procedures, patient data, and outcomes for medical records.
- Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory protocols to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients.
