Key Responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will :

Perform Nuclear Medicine Imaging : Operate specialized imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, aiding in the detection and treatment of diseases.

Administer Radiopharmaceuticals : Carefully administer radiopharmaceuticals in line with established protocols and safety regulations.

Ensure Patient Comfort : Position patients comfortably and provide reassurance during the imaging process.

Monitor and Record Vital Signs : Observe patients for any adverse reactions and document relevant data to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the procedure.

Operate and Maintain Equipment : Ensure that all nuclear medicine equipment is functioning optimally, conducting regular maintenance for accuracy and safety.

Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals : Work with radiologists, physicians, and other specialists to interpret nuclear medicine images and integrate them into treatment plans.

Document Procedures and Results : Maintain detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with medical standards and regulations.

Follow Safety Protocols : Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to protect both patients and staff.

Stay Current : Continuously update your knowledge of nuclear medicine technology and advancements to provide the best care.

To qualify for this role, you must have :

BLS Certification (required)

ARRT Certification (required)

NMTCB Certification (required)

2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in a clinical setting
