Working in our Recreation department as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a vital role in helping individuals have the ability and access to attend interactive recreational activities that will led to making many memories, friendships and community connections. Primary responsibilities include having fun and providing guidance with small group outings, adventures, and giving guidance to people with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities throughout Livingston and Wyoming Counties. - Assistance with contacting individuals, programs, and/or families regarding events.
- Transports individuals to and from activities with agency vehicle
- Documents all program data accurately and timely.
- Provides excellent customer service and acts as a role model to others.
- Ability to effectively coach individuals to achieve success in the community and in group settings.
- Possesses strong attention to detail, communication skills, and computer skills.
- High School Diploma, or equivalent required.
- Valid NYS driver's license with a safe driving record
