Pay: $27-$29/hr
Position Overview:Make a meaningful impact as an Instructor at Seven Hills Pediatric Center, where you will provide specialized education and care for residents with severe special needs. Collaborate with a dynamic interdisciplinary team, develop and implement curriculum, and foster a positive learning environment. This role combines teaching, planning, and supervision to enhance the quality of life and learning for those we serve.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized curriculum and weekly instruction plans.
- Supervise and evaluate teacher assistants, modeling best practices and teaching new skills.
- Coordinate with nursing staff, social workers, and other team members to support residents’ needs.
- Provide instruction in diverse settings, including classrooms, bedside, or community spaces.
- Participate in resident assessments, ISP/IEP meetings, and interdisciplinary planning.
- Manage educational materials and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree required.
- Experience: 1-3 years in a related field preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 75 pounds (or 200 pounds with assistance) and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Other Requirements: Standard driver’s license; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
