Duties and Responsibilities
- Observe, guide, and coach teachers in the areas of purposeful lesson planning, engaging instruction, and effective student management with an equity and growth mindset
- Oversee curriculum design and development as well as scope and sequence
- Supervise appropriate measures of student assessment and school progress
- Manage and support student discipline and the behavioral education program positively and well
- Maintain accurate files and documentation and follow consistent policies and procedures
- Monitor and meet data reporting and legal compliance deadlines as required
- Provide productive, responsive, and reliable support to the Executive Director
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Richfield Campus Middle School Principal, and Burnsville Campus Elementary School Principal to ensure alignment of operations, practices, and expectations across schools
- Other duties of this instructional leadership position include, but are not limited to, assist with schedules, attend team meetings, facilitate special events, be accountable to state reporting, plan staff development, and oversee school safety and school culture
Qualifications and Skills
- Candidates must have or be in the process of obtaining an administrative license or hold alternative licensure with relevant graduate-level education
- Experience observing and coaching teachers and working with elementary school students
- Familiarity with Core Knowledge curriculum and appreciation of Classical education
- Demonstrate strong and efficient planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Manage personnel in a manner that is motivational, ethical, and legal
- Oversee an elementary school budget that includes federal and state grant funds
- Be confident and assertive in problem-solving with a focus on cooperation and results
- Show a capacity for being supportive, reflective, responsible, and enthusiastic
- Speak and act in a manner that maintains a positive and encouraging attitude congruent with the mission, vision, and values of a high-quality charter public school
- Value administrating in a broadly diverse and inclusive educational community
- Communicate clearly and constructively with staff, parents, students, and stakeholders
- Understand the purpose use of assessments and data-driven analysis and instruction
- Be willing and able to grow a school as a member of an Administrative Leadership Team
Compensation
This is a fulltime, 1.0 FTE, position and includes a competitive salary, paid time off, insurance benefits, and 403(b) option. The salary range for this position is an annual salary of $100,000-$130,000.
