Job Summary

Seven Hills seeks a K-5 English Learner (EL) Teacher for its Bloomington Campus for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a .6 FTE, position. The primary duties of this position involve effective lesson planning, confident student management, and engaging instruction. Familiarity with the Core Knowledge scope and sequence is desired. Specifically, the EL Teacher will be responsible for administering language screenings and assessments, delivering tiered instruction and targeted interventions to students in Grades K-5, working closely with our Literacy Teachers and assisting with our Reading programs, and effectively communicating with and supporting teachers, paraprofessionals, students, parents as well as administration. Experience and familiarity with charter public schools is advantageous, knowledge and appreciation of the Classical education model is ideal, and a working base with technology especially Google applications is preferred.
