At Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital, we provide exceptional care to pets and their owners. We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and organized individual to join our team as a part-time Bookkeeper. This position will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations within our hospital. We have a supportive and friendly work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll: Process and manage payroll for all hospital staff on a weekly basis - this is for hourly, contract and production rate pay schedules. These tasks require proficiency with Excel and a payroll processing system (we use Paylocity)
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Monitor and manage outstanding client accounts, ensuring accurate billing and timely collections. Weekly bank deposit reconciliation.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, ensure accuracy, and handle payment processing to include printing checks and managing ACH and credit card payments.
- Other Financial Tasks: Assist with maintaining general ledger including interfacing with our outside accounting firm, bank reconciliations, filing monthly city and state sales/use tax returns and other accounting-related tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a healthcare or veterinary setting.
- Experience with payroll processing (we use Paylocity), accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
Hours: On site; Tuesday and Wednesday 9am - 5:30pm with the possibility of future remote work on an as needed basis.
