An enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent resident and guest drinking experience.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Arrive well-groomed, on time, and dressed in the appropriate uniform.
- Must be team player and work effectively with co-workers and other departments; provides a warm, friendly environment creating a world class dining experience for residents and their guests.
- Must be a highly self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision and interact with residents at a high-level.
- Required to quickly make drinks for residents, serve food, and make drinks for the servers to serve residents/guests.
- Mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to club specifications for residents/guests at the bar and dining areas.
- Setup for events, carry trays, serve residents/guests, and clean up at the event's conclusion.
- Setup can include moving bars, alcohol, and glasses, arranging and cleaning bar area.
- Keeping the bar stocked and cleaned while always providing friendly and attentive service.
- Review and setup for events to ensure all glassware, alcohol, etc. meet the standards of Seven Lakes Golf & Tennis Community.
- Possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain excellent service standards.
- Possess complete knowledge of the menus and be able to answer any menu questions from residents/guests graciously and with respect.
- Gracefully present, open, and serve bottles of wine in a professional manner.
- Know and abide by all applicable state and local laws when serving alcohol to residents and guests.
- Communicate any issues with food service or dining issues to the Restaurant Manager in a timely manner.
- Follow club procedures for handling and storing food products in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Assist in the opening and closing duties for each shift and occasional dining setups (buffets, displays, etc.).
- Must treat all residents, guests, and team members with respect.
- Able to bill resident charges using point-of-sale system.
- Duties during the event can vary based on the situation, but they must be able to focus on the job while staying on their feet and moving about freely which can include bending, climbing stairs, and carrying items weighing 25-70 pounds.
- Good communication and excellent listening skills are required; being able to follow directions efficiently and meeting the physical demands of the job.
- Bartenders must always adhere to health and safety standards even when closing at the end of an event which may include breaking down the table setup and taking tablecloths and items to the laundry.

- Other related duties as required or requested.
- Abides by the club's policies and procedures.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of one to three years in a high-profile service operation working in the bartending service.
- SERV Safe Certification required.
- Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to read menu items.
- Must be able to clearly communicate member needs to other team members (servers, bartender, or manager).
- Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to stand 6 to 8 hours.
- One year banquet service in a club, hotel, or catering service preferred.
- Have superior service skills; ability to maintain poise under pressure.
- Solve practical problems that may arise.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL / EMOTIONAL DEMANDS
Must be able to handle customer complaints calmly and respectfully when necessary. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, and regularly required to lift and carry up to approximately 70 pounds; may be required to spend long hours on their feet. While performing the duties of this job, the bartender could be exposed to outside weather conditions if providing service during an outside event. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with increased levels during events.
