Seven Peaks Fence and Barn
Supply Chain Specialist Job Description
________________________________________________________________________________
Company Description:
At Seven Peaks Fence and Barn, our reputation is built on integrity, exceptional quality, and an unwavering commitment to customer service. While we take pride in building fences, what we love even more is hearing how our customers use them—whether it's keeping livestock secure, creating a place for roping practice, or building the ranch they've always dreamed of.
Seven Peaks was founded with a passion for the Western lifestyle and a desire to serve the people who live it every day. We’re inspired by the stories our customers share—their animals, their projects, and the memories they make. It’s those experiences that drive us to keep improving and growing.
We offer both “Do It Yourself” solutions for hands-on customers and professional “Done for You” installation services for those who prefer turnkey support. With locations in Arizona and Texas, we proudly serve the southwestern U.S. and are actively expanding to become a trusted national brand.
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a sharp, self-driven Supply Chain Specialist to take full ownership of our inventory, purchasing, and vendor operations. This is not a task-taker role—we need a problem solver who can step in, take the reins, and lead the supply chain function with confidence and care.
As the first dedicated supply chain hire, you’ll be trusted to build the systems, processes, and routines that ensure our stores and customers always have what they need. You’ll analyze demand, forecast needs, negotiate with vendors, and work directly with leadership to help us scale smarter.
If you're someone who thrives in autonomy, thinks proactively, and takes full responsibility for results, this role is yours to shape.
Job Roles:
Inventory Ownership & Optimization:
- Own and manage inventory levels across all locations, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Monitor trends and movement to avoid overstocking or product shortages.
- Lead inventory audits and reconciliation with warehouse and store teams.
- Recommend product lifecycle decisions based on data (e.g. slow movers, top sellers).
Purchasing & Vendor Leadership:
- Own all product ordering and vendor communication—placing, tracking, and adjusting purchase orders.
- Maintain vendor relationships and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Negotiate lead times, pricing, freight terms, and reliability to improve margins and efficiency.
- Ensure purchasing aligns with both sales demand and cash flow priorities.
Pricing & Product Data Accuracy:
- Maintain clean and current product pricing and vendor cost data in internal systems.
- Coordinate pricing updates with the sales and finance teams to protect margins and support promotions.
- Manage new product setup and SKU creation with attention to detail and usability.
Forecasting, Reporting & Strategy:
- Build and maintain forecasts based on sales trends, seasonality, and market demand.
- Develop actionable reports for leadership on inventory health, purchasing cadence, and cost-saving insights.
- Lead internal reviews to evaluate vendor performance and purchasing KPIs.
Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Design and document repeatable systems for inventory control and purchasing workflows.
- Collaborate closely with sales, warehouse, and leadership teams to align the supply chain with real-world needs.
- Identify and lead improvements in how inventory and purchasing impact the broader business.
Qualifications:
- 3 years in a supply chain, purchasing, or inventory management role, preferably in retail, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Proven ability to take ownership of systems and drive improvement without micromanagement.
- Proficient with inventory management and reporting tools (SOS Inventory, QuickBooks, Shopify, Excel).
- Data-driven, detail-oriented, and process-minded.
- Strong communicator with the confidence to challenge inefficiencies and offer solutions.
- Comfortable working independently and taking full accountability for outcomes.
Education (Bonus)
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics Management, Systems Engineering or related field.
