Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Blood Bank Manager to oversee the creation, startup, and daily operations of a new blood bank facility in Miami Gardens, FL. This is a unique opportunity for a leader with extensive knowledge of the blood bank industry who can ensure smooth operations, manage personnel, and uphold the highest standards of compliance and service.

Responsibilities:

• Direct the complete setup and operationalization of a blood bank, including securing licenses, insurance, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee all aspects of clinic operations, from the initial planning phase through daily management once operational.
• Manage the port of production and ensure all blood bank processes run efficiently and effectively.
• Take full accountability for all events, proactively addressing and resolving issues before they escalate.
• Act as the primary point of contact and ensure that problems are resolved without escalation to the director.
• Lead the hiring, training, and management of staff to ensure optimal performance and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and manage the flow of people entering and leaving the facility, ensuring compliance and safety standards.
• Implement and manage the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, specifically eClinicalWorks (ECW).

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in the blood bank industry, with a deep understanding of processes, compliance, and best practices.
• Proven ability to build and manage a blood bank from the ground up, including handling regulatory and licensing requirements.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions independently and effectively.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage clinic operations and staff.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly eClinicalWorks (ECW), is preferred.
• A high level of accountability, reliability, and attention to detail.
