What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac and Vascular Sonographer position at Seven Resourcing?
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our team in Rockford as a Sonographer. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients, utilising advanced ultrasound technology to assess cardiac conditions.
Qualifications
- Proficient in cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology techniques
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Experience with telemetry and vital sign monitoring
- Skilled in aseptic techniques and diagnostic evaluation
- Familiarity with sonography and emergency medicine practices
- Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred
- Perform high-quality vascular and cardiac ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and best practice guidelines.
- Interpret ultrasound images and prepare preliminary reports for reviewing physicians.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain a high level of patient care, ensuring comfort and privacy during procedures.
- Educate patients about the examination process and provide clear instructions.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated, adhering to safety and quality control standards.
- Keep accurate records of examinations and ensure that all documentation is up to date.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in sonographic techniques.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff
