Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts, Days
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Room team in Haskell, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced ER environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician in the Emergency Room setting.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist in medical procedures as directed.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatments.
- Maintain a calm and efficient demeanor in high-pressure situations to support patients and families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Current and active LPN license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required).
- Previous experience in an ER or acute care setting preferred.
