Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med/Surg team in Oswego, NY. This position is ideal for an LPN seeking an opportunity in a supportive hospital environment, providing direct patient care in a dynamic Med/Surg unit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical needs.
- Assist with patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document patient care activities.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, including oral, injectable, and IV, as per protocols and scope of practice.
- Support patients’ daily needs, including mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
- Provide patient education and support to patients and their families, promoting optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- License: Current and unrestricted New York State LPN license
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience (hospital experience preferred)
- Certifications: BLS required
