Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood draws.
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
- Provide patient education on medication, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare measures.
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed.
- Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Assist with medical office administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and processing paperwork.
- Adhere to all healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in basic medical procedures such as taking vital signs, performing EKGs, and administering injections.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and patient needs.
