Job Title: Supervisor, Registered Nurse

Location: Vestal, NY

Blended Rate: $2100/wk

Shift: 5x8s - 40hrs/wk - Nights (3x12s available at $1900 weekly)

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Supervisor, Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare facility in Vestal, NY. As a Supervisor, RN, you will play a key role in providing leadership, guidance, and support to our team of nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision and support to a team of registered nurses, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching as necessary.
• Assist with staff training, development, and orientation to ensure competency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient utilization of resources.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring the integration of evidenced-based practices and patient preferences.
• Monitor patients' progress, assess and intervene during crises or emergencies, and oversee the coordination of care across different healthcare settings.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
• Assist with the management of equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and functionality.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Stay up-to-date with current healthcare practices, regulations, and policies.

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in using electronic medical records and other healthcare technology platforms.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
