What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internet Specialist / SharePoint Administrator position at Seventh Sense Consulting, LLC?
In anticipation of a contract award, we are looking for an Internet Specialist / SharePoint Administrator to provide industry expertise in SharePoint Development and maintenance of a Federal agency organization's internet and intranet web pages. This individual will manage all tasks associated with the projects and initiatives associated with communications from the organization to end users.
The individual in this role will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and coordination of SharePoint sites within our organization. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of web technologies, working closely with two Strategic Communication positions to manage content, streamline workflows, and enhance user experiences. The ideal candidate should possess independent problem-solving skills to address issues efficiently without constant supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
SharePoint Administration:
- Manage and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including site creation, configuration, and governance.
- Implement and enforce best practices for SharePoint usage, including security policies and data management.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to SharePoint performance and availability.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
Content Management:
- Collaborate with Strategic Communication teams to create, publish, and manage content across SharePoint sites.
- Ensure that content is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with organizational standards.
- Train end-users on how to effectively use SharePoint for content management.
Workflow Automation:
- Develop and implement workflows using Power Automate (formerly Microsoft Flow) to automate repetitive tasks.
- Customize forms and lists in SharePoint to streamline data entry and retrieval processes.
- Ensure that workflows are efficient, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive information stored in SharePoint.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Manage user permissions and access controls to maintain data confidentiality and integrity.
User Support:
- Provide technical support to end-users, addressing issues related to SharePoint usage.
- Offer training sessions and documentation to help users effectively navigate and utilize SharePoint features.
- Maintain a knowledge base of common issues and solutions to assist with user inquiries.
Integration and Customization:
- Integrate SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 applications such as Power Apps, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Develop custom solutions using .NET development, REST APIs, and other web technologies to extend SharePoint functionality.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of SharePoint with existing systems.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate reports on SharePoint usage, performance metrics, and user activity.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
- Provide insights and recommendations to stakeholders based on analytical findings.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate (optional but preferred).
Experience:
- 5 years of relevant experience as a SharePoint administrator or similar role.
- Experience with SharePoint Online environments.
- Strength with Power Automate, Power Apps, and other Microsoft 365 tools.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SharePoint administration, including site creation, configuration, and governance.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automating SharePoint tasks.
- Experience with web technologies such as .NET development, REST APIs, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with security best practices and data management.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Communication positions.
- Excellent customer service skills for providing technical support to end-users.
Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and security.
- Adaptability and the ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment.
