You will also work closely with customers to address technical challenges in cementing processes.
Detailed Description
- Conduct activities in compliance with the Company’s HSE guidelines and promote safety awareness.
- Provide technical advice and supervision to field operating personnel, utilizing in-depth product and equipment knowledge to deliver high service quality.
- Represent the NexTier brand positively in all job functions, both internally and externally.
- Mentor junior engineering and operations personnel in cementing operations, including pre-job planning, wellsite execution, job procedures, and contingency planning.
- Conduct periodic audits of wellsite operations to ensure adherence to NexTier standards.
- Provide cementing job designs, make recommendations, and generate cementing proposals for the customer base in the designated district.
- Lead training sessions for junior operations and engineering personnel.
- Drive profitability improvement through projects that reduce product costs, improve efficiency, or enhance service quality.
- Lead investigations into service quality and HSE incidents.
- Work directly with customer engineers to develop solutions to technical challenges.
- Perform post-job evaluations, providing recommendations and improvement actions as needed.
- Review and evaluate Cement Bond Logs alongside available data to assess cement placement effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with sales to develop and present periodic KPI reviews to key customers.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
- Firm understanding of hydraulics, mechanical power, and chemistry.
- Advanced knowledge of cementing principles, including cement sheath mechanical property theory.
- Proficient in using and interpreting results from Cempro and CentraDesign.
- Competent in all functions required of Cement Engineer - II.
- Strong multitasking, interpersonal communication, and attention to detail skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and MS Word.
- Knowledge typically associated with 4 years of engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4-5 years of experience required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
