Job Summary : Responsible for maintaining an organized warehouse layout and transporting products to different locations.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent hand-eye coordination
Good written and verbal skills
Mathematical aptitude
Good organizational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Responsibilities :
Participates in the shipping, receiving, organizing, storing, and delivering of goods, including supplies, equipment, and food
Drives forklift to transport orders and materials to designated sites
Loads and unloads trucks for receiving stock and filling orders
Participates with physical inventories and verifying stock
General housekeeping of the warehouse to maintain a safe and sanitary work area
Performs other related duties, as assigned, to ensure an efficient and effective work environment
Other job duties as assigned
Education / Experience :
Forklift Certification required
1 -2 years of experience operating a forklift
Work Environment :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; and toxic or caustic chemicals
The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock
Hot or cold temperatures
The noise level in the work environment is loud
Physical Requirements :
Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to stand for long periods
The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or listen to other employees / line leaders / supervisor
