NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.
SUMMARY
The Transportation Supervisor maintains the day-to-day operations of the transportation department to ensure safe transport of participants and is responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation. This position will report to our Sarasota location.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below :
- Manages the operation of the transportation department.
Responsible for transportation services budget, tracks fuel expenditures
Provides necessary staff development and training to drivers to ensure transportation needs and requirements are met.
Responsible for transportation / driver logistics to support transportation needs of residents to attend outings, doctor's appointments, etc..
Recognizes signs and symptoms of abuse / neglect and reports to direct supervisor for follow up, including following mandated reporter protocols which under supervisor guidance may involve need for direct notification to appropriate state agencies
Ensures direct reports maintain compliance with all assigned trainings within established timelines
Documents in an accurate legible and concise manner as required.
Assists in other areas of the program including activity, food service, and other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation and training. Makes recommendations or decisions regarding employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations and similar actions. Resolves personnel problems within position responsibilities.
